kosteffective

Kosteffective
has been online for approximately 11 years and our focus has been to help others create a kost-effective website. Building websites is still something I totally enjoy doing, but I never stop looking for easier and less expensive ways to create and maintain them. There is nothing quite like the Internet and how it has evolved in ten years is amazing and along with it, some awesome developments in open-source web resources.
The Cost of maintaining this Website
Right here and right now, the cost of this website is $5/month not including the yearly domain fee of $6.99 (on sale at Domains Priced Right). This comes to a whopping $66.99 per year. I am forever grateful for 100 Megs Web Hosting for keeping their services up and their prices low and Domains Priced Right for their year-round domain sales.
WordPress - More than just a Blog Site
This is February 4, 2008 and I am finally taking this web development site into the new millenium. I completely deleted kosteffective from my server and recreated a new account so that I could start over using WordPress. The beauty of WordPress is that it is free. If you want to create a blog without bothering with a domain name and anything else related with having your own website, you can sign up for a blog on WordPress and it is all free. In their own words, WordPress is a state-of-the-art semantic personal publishing platform with a focus on aesthetics, web standards, and usability. I couldn’t agree more.
MySpace
is the current favorite web-presence/blog site, although in my view it is becoming a bit commercialized with rotating ads everywhere. Yet, you can hardly blame MySpace for taking advantage of the opportunity. Who wouldn’t want to take a brilliant idea and make a living through the wise use of it?
